Looking to the future through the Jelly Baby Crystal Ball
JDRF has long been known for their elegant gala events and this year was no exception with the 2010 Jelly Baby Crystal Ball held in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.
Generously supported nationally by Platinum Sponsor Macquarie Group, the events attracted hundreds of enthusiastic guests who ate, drank and danced the night away whilst showing their support for people with type 1 diabetes.
Of course, the real reason for the evening was not forgotten amongst the fun. There was lively bidding on all of the auction items and wonderful support for Fund-a-Cure – a unique segment that challenges supporters to make direct pledges on the night.
As with all JDRF events, the efforts of our wonderful and hardworking volunteers must be acknowledged. Whether setting tables, selling raffle tickets or sharing their story, this inspirational group is the foundation upon which all of our successful events are based. In particular, very special thanks must go to Frank and Sophia Jackson (Perth) and Kristen Mason (Sydney) for their ongoing dedication and passionate support of JDRF gala events.
With pledges still flowing in, we are expecting to raise over $500,000 to support the very best type 1 diabetes research in Australia. Now that is what we call searching for a cure in style!

AWESOME !!!
