Type 1 diabetes won’t stop Rob dancing
After a tremendous semi-final Dancing with the Stars is down to three contestants, and JDRF is thrilled to report that one of them is our good friend Rob Palmer.
Rob’s dancing has come a long way since he started the show, when he joked that dancing partner Alana was trying to teach ‘a block of wood’ to dance. He now takes to the dancefloor with confidence and has impressed the judges with a number of different dance styles, including the jive and the salsa.
What really sets Rob Palmer apart is the enthusiasm and fun that are part of his approach to the show. Fans are loving the way that he gives his all to the dancing routines, and clearly enjoys every minute of it.
This reflects Rob’s approach to life with type 1 diabetes as well. “I say ‘yes’ first and work out how to manage diabetes after. Whatever you do, don’t let type 1 diabetes make your decisions for you.”
JDRF sends sincere thanks to Rob for choosing type 1 diabetes research to benefit from his efforts on Dancing with the Stars.
