Jelly Baby Month
May is Jelly Baby Month, when Jelly Baby products appear in supermarkets, chemists, schools and workplaces across Australia.
What makes Jelly Baby Month different is the love and commitment behind it. 14 years ago a group of parents whose children have type 1 diabetes decided they wanted to make a direct impact on funding research. They produced a badge that quickly sold out and Jelly Baby Month was born.

This is Will. He is 6 years old and has had type 1 diabetes since he was 2.
Every single time he eats, Will’s parents prick his finger to check his blood sugar, calculate the right dose of insulin to give him via his insulin pump, which is connected to his bloodstream all the time.
Will’s mum says “Despite the burdens, Will is our little hero. He doesn’t like having type 1 diabetes – but he doesn’t let this disease stop him.”
Together with our supporters, JDRF is making important progress towards a better life for people with type 1 diabetes and ultimately, a world free of this disease.
