Fundraising Friend
Create your own fundraising event or participate in an existing event to help us find a cure for type 1 diabetes.
Organising your own fundraising activity is a fun and rewarding way for you to have a direct impact on the lives of people living with type 1 diabetes. No matter how you raise your funds, JDRF can help.
Once you have decided what event you want to create or participate in, you need to decide how JDRF will get the funds raised. There are two options.
1) Online fundraising
2) Cash and cheque fundraising
Online Fundraising
JDRF have partnered with Everyday Hero to assist you to fundraise online. In just three simple steps you can create your own fundraising web page and set a fundraising target. To do this you can participate in an existing event, located in the left hand side 'Existing Events' section, or create your own event below.
Through online fundraising, you can create a personalised online fundraising page and tell your story about how and why you are raising money. It is hassle free as Everyday Hero processes every donation, issues the tax deductible receipt and pays the money directly into JDRF's account. Plus you can have fun by sending personal emails to your friends, family and colleagues and let them leave their message of support.
Donations can be made on your behalf in lieu of a birthday present, a wedding or anniversary gift, in memoriam to remember a loved one, or for any other special occasion.

Cash and Cheque Fundraising
You must fill out an event registration form if you would like to hold an event that does not require an online fundraising facility and your event falls into one of these three categories:
1. Your event will incur expenditure,
2. Your event requires the use of our logo or name, or
3. Your event requires JDRF to issue receipts for your event.
You will need to register your event with us as under 1991 Charitable Fundraising Act as anyone wishing to raise money for a charitable purpose must hold an Authority to Fundraise Letter issued by JDRF.
You need to read our Fundraising Guidelines and complete our event registration form below.
Once your event has been approved we will send you an Authority to Fundraise Letter and an event ID number.
