2013 Jelly Baby Ball - Tokyo Story

JDRF is the world's largest charitable supporter of type 1 diabetes research. Through fundraising JDRF can support vital medical research to improve the lives of those living with type 1 diabetes, ultimately finding a cure.
JDRF is grateful to receive contributions from Gala Balls held annually across Australia. Gala Balls are a great reminder of JDRF's mission to improve the lives of those living with type 1 diabetes. Our Gala Balls are supported by both the corporate and type 1 diabetes communities.
Amongst all the glamour and fun of the evening, guests make very generous donations through auction items and raffles, and our Fund-a-Cure appeal. In this appeal, Youth Ambassadors tell their personal stories at the Balls, in exchange for donations from guests.

Volunteer at a JDRF Gala Ball
The Jelly Baby Ball is a great opportunity to volunteer and give your time to JDRF if you aren’t able to attend as a guest.
The volunteer role is customer service focused, you will be selling raffle tickets and helping with other fundraising activities, helping guests to make bids and donations using the bidding technology, and assist with taking payments at the end of the evening. Depending on which state event you’re volunteering at, you will normally need to arrive around 5pm and will be finished by 11pm, you can of course choose to join the guests on the dance floor at the end once your volunteering duties are over!
The three Jelly Baby Balls will raise over $750,000 for JDRF this year, so you’ll be part of something that’s making a big impact for JDRF and the lives of 122,300 Australians living with type 1 diabetes.
To volunteer for a Jelly Baby Ball, please call 1300 363 126 or provide your contact details and we will be in touch shortly.
