Medtronic Information Evening
Medtronic are holding an information evening about Insulin Pump Therapy and Continuous Glucose Monitoring

Type 1 Diabetes Capricorn Connection (T1DCC)
Come and join the T1DCC at one of our regular group get togethers.
This is an opportunity for adults living with type 1 diabetes to meet other T1D adults in Rockhampton & Capricorn Coast area and have a chat over a cuppa, make new friendships and hear what exciting new resources & services are available. Here are the current volunteering opportunities that are available in SA:
Peer Support Program - Help newly diagnosed families get through those initial tough times by offering support. We need parents, or adults with type 1 to be mentors - whether it's one phone or a regular catch up to chat and meet new families. Email Tamara and she will inform Alison Kennedy, our Peer Support Manager of your interest.
Jelly Baby Month (JBM) - Held across Australia in May each year the merchandise campaign raises much needed funds. You may choose to sell to your network of friends, family and colleagues or sell stock at your local shopping centre. Please call the Adelaide Office early in 2012 to secure your opportunity for May 2012.
SA State Committee - JDRF is seeking expressions of interest from volunteers who would like to join the SA State Committee. The purpose of the State Committee is to make a leadership contribution to the achievement of the JDRF's objectives and to assist us gain introductions into new networks. Your advice, guidance and contribution will be sought across a wide range of objectives, programs, events and campaigns and will have a material impact on achieving JDRF's objectives.

Clipsal 500 Ladies Day Lunch
As the chosen charity of the 2012 Clipsal 500 Adelaide JDRF would like to show their support of the Advertiser, Sunday Mail Foundation's 2012 Clipsal 500 Ladies Day Luncheon.
The event will be compared by Channel 7's Mark Soderstrom and is sponsored by Qantas, Coopers Brewery, George Gross & Harry Watt, 1882 Wines by Justin McCarthy, Lexus of Adelaide, Grahams Jewellers, Xile, South Australian Motor Sport Board, Channel 7, Hilton Adelaide, Novatech, and The Parlour.
The lunch includes a glamorous fashion parade featuring the 2012 Autumn/Winter collection by George Gross & Harry Who, a dazzling jewellery parade by Grahams Jewellers, and Menswear by Xile. Entertainment includes a performance by the talented X Factor Australian winner Reece Mastin, together with Matt Gilbertson and his dancers.

Where: 500 Marquee at the Clipsal 500 track
Time: 12 noon
Cost: $140.00 each which includes a two course meal, 1882 wines and champagne, entry to the race track for the entire day, featuring Fujitsu V8 Supercars, V8 Utes, and Aussie Racing Cars.
