Insulin Pumps – the big announcemnt
Getting up at dawn on World Diabetes Day to join the Prime Minister for his morning walk in Brisbane is a very unique start to the day in its own right.
But what made it even more special was the announcement that followed…

Not a myth – walking may lead to cure?
Despite the fact that exercise cannot cure type 1 diabetes, over 80,000 people joined forces across Australia to Walk to Cure Diabetes and raise money for JDRF. This years' Walk was an outstanding success, thanks in part to the fantastic support from politicians, families and Youth Ambassadors.

JDRF Advocates - Unite for Diabetes

While buildings across the world were lit in blue to celebrate the first UN observed World Diabetes Day, JDRF’s Youth Ambassadors shed light on living with type 1 diabetes.

BGL and HSC - tricky combination?

Sitting HSC exams, writing to the newspaper, contacting her MP and advocating for issues concerning the type 1 diabetes community – 18 year old Eleanor Lisk from Kingston, South Australia is successfully juggling many things at once.
