S.T.O.P (Supporting Type One Parents and Families)

S.T.O.P is a support group for parents in ACT and the surrounding areas with children living with type 1 diabetes. They support all ages, and have regular catchups. They have a Facebook group which will give you updates on the groups activities, fundraisers and upcoming events. You can also express your interest and get a calendar of events/catchups by contacting s.t.o.p.andchildren@gmail.com

Central Coast Support Group

Come and join the Central Coast Support Group at one of our regular family get togethers. This is an opportunity for families living with type 1 diabetes to socialise together and meet other Central Coast type 1 diabetes families in a fun, social atmosphere. The Central Coast Support Group is organised by a group of mothers who have children with type 1. Please bring a plate to share. EVERYONE IS WELCOME. Parents of Hunter Kids with Type 1 Diabetes Support Network

This is a private Facebook group for Parents in the Hunter Valley-Australia only. The purpose is to provide community support, sharing of experiences, stories, social events and activities for children and families in the Hunter. It is run by parents for parents. Administration of the Facebook group is by the current Parents Support Group Committee. Assistance, support and advocacy is provided by the JHCH (John Hunter Children's Hospital) Diabetes Social Worker. This group is not for medical advice and is not moderated. When you request membership, admin will confirm your identity and approve membership. Terms and Conditions are pinned on the Facebook page. Please read these when you join.

Parent Support Group Committee meetings take place once per month at Wests Mayfield at 6.30pm. Please contact the social worker Anne McCrea for further details on anne.mccrea@hnehealth.nsw.gov.au or 4921 4118.

Illawarra Type 1 Support Group

A support group for people from the Illawarra and South Coast living with Type 1 Diabetes, and their families. A closed, private group and you must be Type 1 or a close relative to a Type 1 and currently living in the Illawarra. The purpose of this group is to provide community support, sharing of experiences, stories, social events and activities for children and families in the Illawarra however we do not give medical advice. Alice Springs T1D Support Group

Come and join our newly created Alice Springs T1D Support Group. We currently have around 20 members and are happy to hear from anyone interested in becoming a part of the group.
